What is Health & Safety?

All learners must have due regard for Health & Safety rules and regulations, for yourself as well as others.

Details of employer and employee responsibilities can be found on your notice boards in the workplace, via your Line Manager or Human Resources representative where appropriate. If you have any concerns regarding your workplace, you can discuss these with your Learning Development Practitioner or gain further confidential information from the Health and Safety Executive.

If you do have an accident in the workplace, please ensure that you notify us as soon as possible. We will work with the employer to investigate the accident and keep in contact with you.

The Health & Safety Executive is the body responsible for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare. They are also responsible for research into occupational risks in Great Britain.

Information can be found at http://www.hse.gov.uk.

Please watch this informational video that explain the role of a Health and Safety Executive and why it is important.
