Position based: Hybrid / Head Office Barnsley
Salary Band: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum

About the Job
The Apprenticeship Operations Manager will lead a team of Skills Coaches delivering apprenticeship standards across a range of sectors. The post-holder will ensure all delivery is compliant with the Education Inspection Framework (EIF), DfE Apprenticeship Funding Rules (2025–2026), and audit protocols. They will drive performance, uphold quality, and create a culture focused on learner outcomes, regulatory excellence, and sustained impact.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in apprenticeship or FE operations management.
- Deep knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework and DfE Apprenticeship Funding Rules.
- Track record of achieving performance, funding, and audit success.
- Experience managing teams to deliver compliant and high-impact learning.
- Familiarity with ILR systems, audit evidence standards, and Ofsted readiness.
Desirable or to be undertaken as part of role:
- Recognised teaching or assessing qualification (AET, PGCE, TAQA).
- IQA or Lead IQA status.
- Experience across a range of apprenticeship standards and sectors.
