Purpose of the Role:

To lead operational delivery for Apprenticeships (Levy and SME). Maximise all contractual performance in line with contract targets, whilst achieving financial P+L targets as set by the business. Create operational delivery plans to help achieve strategic goals and coordinate business operations to fulfil customer, client, and contractual expectations. Develop, coach and manage staff to lead a high performing team.  Drive KPI’s to exceed or hit.  Demonstrate a proactive approach in understanding the education and skills landscape to meet agreed business needs, learner volumes and revenue targets. Identify new and organic growth opportunities for the business.

Develop new areas of growth within the business and look at new opportunities available.  Keep up to date with what the competition are delivering and the USP for them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of performance managers to drive business performance in line with company targets and goals, with full responsibility to deliver customer and budget expectations.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators set by the customer, through the design and execution of operational delivery plans, and implement early interventions in response to signs of deterioration in performance levels.
  • Determine budgets for delivery teams, and support their achievement through ongoing monitoring, forecasting and management, applying cost optimisation measures, as necessary.
  • Represent Total Training Provision to external stakeholders to support engagement and build strong relationships.
  • Lead on the operational relationships with the Educational Skills and Funding Agency (ESFA) and MCA’s working closely with the Director of Business Development, Head of Quality, and Managing Director as required.
  • Maintain and regularly update personal knowledge of funding, products, company, and all quality processes required to deliver excellent service.
  • Identify and promote learning & development across the operation, to optimise effectiveness and encourage staff to personally develop and progress, aligned to the business L&D Plan.
  • Creating strategies with senior management to meet the needs of commissioning bodies and customer requirements.
  • Ensure programmes are delivered in accordance with current legislation, corporate governance arrangements, contractual/accrediting body requirements and the ESFA cross-cutting themes for employability provision.
  • Working with Quality and Operational Support teams to develop policies that will correlate with business, contracts requirements, and support ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Implementing effective processes and standards.
  • Managing customer service and ensuring customer retention.
  • Ensuring that appropriate resources are in place to manage growth within TTP Strategies
  • Lead on data, ensuring that other departments have the accurate data they require for effective quality assurance and enhancement activities, and performance is communicated effectively across the business.
  • Identify and minimise operational risk.
  • Work closely with other departments to identify and implement activities to ensure that operational changes and plans are appropriately informed, designed, implemented and evaluated.
  • Complete all necessary reporting to keep line management and the wider business informed of the activities, and progress towards achieving business wins.
  • Any other duties as directed by your line manager that supports the business to meet its objectives.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Proven track record in a similar managerial role, with at least 5 years’ experience in the sector.
  • Knowledge of Government Funding, and the Further Education Sector.
  • Ability to develop the team with skills, knowledge, and behaviours to meet/exceed company targets.
  • Ability to analyse and create data reports using Pivot tables, Excel, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience of working and managing a MIS & LMS to support the delivery and quality of services.
  • A professional appearance and the social skills necessary to deal with a range of clients, along with the self-confidence and stature to represent TTP at a senior level.
  • Ability work under pressure with excellent time management.
