What does this qualification cover?
This qualification focuses on developing learners’ knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental wellbeing. It is designed to support learners working in, or aiming to work in, a range of occupational settings where an understanding of mental health is essential.
The qualification provides an in-depth programme of study, building a strong core of knowledge and practical understanding related to mental health support.
Learners will develop an understanding of:

Mental health legislation, services, and public attitudes, including how these have evolved over time

How to promote and support mental wellbeing across different stages of life

The nature of mental ill health, including common conditions, treatment options, and the potential impact and consequences of poor mental health

The skills, values, and professional practice required to work effectively within mental health services

- 19+ as of 31st August
- Employed or Unemployed
- Living legally in the UK or EU for 3 years
- Not currently on a funded programme
Funding
This course is fully funded through the Adult Skills Fund.
The course is available for anyone who reaches the eligibility requirements in the Liverpool Region.
Location
- Online sessions delivered weekly over teams.
