Level 1 Award in Construction Health & Safety

The GQA Level 1 Award in Construction Health & Safety is designed for individuals who want to develop the essential knowledge needed to work safely within a construction environment.

This qualification is suitable for people who are new to the construction industry, apprentices, those already working within construction, or anyone looking to build their understanding of health and safety before progressing into employment.

Throughout the course, learners will develop knowledge of key areas including risk assessments, method statements, workplace hazards, accidents and emergencies, health risks, manual handling and working at height.

Successful completion provides learners with a recognised construction health and safety qualification and can support individuals working towards the requirements for a CSCS Labourer Card, subject to meeting the current additional CSCS requirements.
