What does this qualification cover?
The Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning has been designed to provide learners with an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school or college environments. It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development, supporting children and young people’s positive behaviour and communication and professional relationships. It’s aimed at learners working or aspiring to work in roles that support pupils’ learning in primary, secondary or special schools, as well as colleges.
Who is it suitable for?
This qualification is aimed at learners in placement roles where supporting pupils is part of their responsibilities as well as learners working or aspiring to work in support roles within schools and colleges.

- Employed or Unemployed
- Living legally in the UK or EU for 3 years
- Not currently on a funded programme
Funding
This course is fully funded through the Adult Skills Fund.
The course is available for anyone who reaches the eligibility requirements.
Location
- Online sessions delivered weekly over teams.
- Alternatively, learning within a classroom environment.
