Explore a Career in Multichannel Marketing

We’re excited to introduce our new Level 3 Multichannel Marketer Apprenticeship at Total Training Provision.

Designed for individuals looking to build a career in marketing, this apprenticeship develops the practical skills needed to create content, support campaigns, understand customer journeys and use a variety of digital and traditional marketing channels effectively.

Learners will gain experience across areas such as social media, email marketing, content creation, campaign planning, brand awareness and marketing analytics, while applying their learning directly within the workplace.

It’s a great opportunity for aspiring marketers who want to combine creativity, communication and data to help organisations reach the right audience with the right message.

What is Multichannel Marketing?

Think about the last time you discovered a new product, service or company.

You might have seen a social media post, received an email, searched for something online, visited a website or even attended an event.

All of those interactions form part of a customer’s journey.

A Multichannel Marketer helps organisations make sure those different channels work together.

The aim is simple: deliver the right message, to the right audience, through the right channel.

What could you be doing?

Marketing roles can be incredibly varied, which is one of the reasons many people enjoy working in the industry.

One day you could be helping to create social media content. The next, you could be looking at campaign performance, supporting an event or helping update a website.

During the apprenticeship, you could develop skills in areas such as:

  • Understanding target audiences
  • Supporting marketing campaigns
  • Creating engaging content
  • Using social media platforms
  • Email marketing
  • Website content
  • Brand awareness
  • Customer journeys
  • Marketing data and performance
  • Working with internal teams and external suppliers

You will also develop an understanding of the rules, responsibilities and professional standards involved in marketing.

Is marketing all about being creative?

Creativity definitely helps, but modern marketing is a mixture of creativity and data.

A great idea is useful, but marketers also need to understand whether that idea actually worked.

For example, after launching a campaign you might look at:

  • How many people saw it?
  • How many clicked?
  • Which platform performed best?
  • Did people complete the action you wanted?
  • What could you improve next time?

That means Multichannel Marketers need to be comfortable thinking creatively while also using information to make better decisions

Why should employers invest in marketing skills?

Strong marketing can help organisations increase awareness, reach new customers and communicate more effectively with existing ones.

Developing marketing talent internally can also help businesses build a stronger understanding of their own audiences and brand.

An apprentice can work on genuine campaigns while developing new skills, allowing their learning to have an immediate impact.

Where could it take you?

The Level 3 Multichannel Marketer Apprenticeship could support progression into roles such as:

  • Marketing Assistant
  • Marketing Executive
  • Social Media Executive
  • Content Executive
  • Digital Marketing Executive
  • Communications Assistant

With further development, this could lead into specialist or management roles across digital marketing, content, communications, campaigns and brand management.
